Our goal is to make this a space where any staff member who identifies as a gender change agent - formally or informally - can connect with others, and find or share key resources to help advance the cutting ede of CARE's work to promote women's empowerment and more just gender relations.

NEW NEW NEW!!! CARE Bangladesh has taken plans to review the present Gender Policy in Fiscal Year '10. The current gender policy was formulated and adopted in 2000. Based on the implementation experiences, requirement to incorporate current realisties and to align with LRSP impact vision and recently approved CI Gender Policy, the existing policy requires reviewing for further advancement in GED promotion process. CARE Bangladesh looks forward to a review team consisting of internal staff (Members from Gender Promotion Group and Program Quality team) and external resource persons (a national level gender expert and CI). Also CARE Bangladesh is in the early phases of its the Cost of Violence Against Women Initiative (COVAW) and preliminary materials are available.
